The Scientific Programme Board invites theoretical and applied papers in all areas of Industrial Policy, including the following:
- The roles and impacts of large, transnational firms;
- The roles and impacts of small and medium-sized firms;
- The public/private mix in economic activity;
- Technology and innovation policy;
- Network and/or cluster development and policy;
- Governance and territorial competitiveness/development;
- The inter-dependence (or independence) of territorial production/innovation systems in a global economy;
- Evaluating industrial and regional development policies;
- New firm creation as a driver of economic development;
- The industrial policy challenges of climate change;
- The development of creative, learning regions: towards ideas-based economic development?
